\"EuroPA\"<\/p>\n

The EuroPA<\/a> alliance has signed a cooperation agreement with EPI Company to advance Europe\u2019s payments sovereignty, focusing on seamless cross-border<\/a> transactions.<\/p>\n

The initiative seeks to make it easier for individuals and businesses across Europe to send and receive payments smoothly, regardless of national borders. By enhancing the interconnectivity of established local solutions, the collaboration intends to create a framework that supports both personal and commercial payments, whether online or in-store.<\/p>\n

According to the partners, the study will assess how best to integrate the existing high levels of adoption and technical capabilities of each participating system. The initial phase will cover 15 European countries, together accounting for more than 382 million people around 84 per cent of the European Union population, along with Norway.<\/p>\n

By linking well-known domestic payment solutions, the alliance and EPI aim to enable citizens to keep using the platforms they trust, while also ensuring merchants benefit from more straightforward and efficient payment processes. For countries currently lacking local payment options, the plan could provide a blueprint for future development.<\/p>\n

The European Commission and the Eurosystem have both highlighted the strategic importance of building greater independence and resilience in Europe\u2019s payments infrastructure. The approach taken by EuroPA and EPI is designed to align with this vision, using home-grown expertise to support innovation and maintain Europe\u2019s competitiveness.<\/p>\n
