{"id":520394,"date":"2020-12-16T06:39:54","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T06:39:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibsintelligence.com\/?page_id=520394"},"modified":"2021-09-24T06:41:28","modified_gmt":"2021-09-24T06:41:28","slug":"ibs-intelligence-global-fintech-innovation-awards-2020-announced","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ibsintelligence.com\/ibs-intelligence-global-fintech-innovation-awards-2020-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"IBS Intelligence Global FinTech Innovation Awards 2020 announced!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong style=\"color: #7f1416;\">The coolest in FinTech \u2013 revealed!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Awards were presented to tech companies, banks and financial services <\/strong><strong>providers from around the world at the <\/strong><strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Global FinTech Innovation Awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>London<\/strong>: IBS Intelligence (IBSI), the leading global FinTech news, research and advisory firm, hosted the awards ceremony for the <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Global FinTech Innovation Awards<\/strong> in an exclusive online event on 11 December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>2020 was a year like no other \u2013 COVID-19 brought myriad problems and uncertainties, but it also served to turbocharge the take-up and adoption of tech solutions in the banking and financial services sector \u2013 the FinTech Revolution 2.0 \u2013 with almost 10 years worth of development, penetration and consumer acceptance settling in place in just as many months.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its second year, <a href=\"https:\/\/ibsintelligence.com\/innovation-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>IBSI\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>Global FinTech Innovation Awards<\/strong><\/a> were created to honour and promote excellence and success in the implementation of BankTech and FinTech solutions. Indeed, the growing importance of the industry is also reflected in the BankTech and FinTech sector\u2019s burgeoning interest in the awards, with the number of entries reaching 220, up from 150 in the previous year, coming from 52 countries around the world (24 last year) with a total of 122 banks participating (47 last year).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sanjiv Anand, Chairman, IBS Intelligence<\/strong>, said, \u201cIn 2020, globally, across industry sectors, and clearly the Financial Services and Banks sector has seen a high degree of digitization and digital transformation. Not only with the retail banks, but also corporate banks. Even though this is just the second year of our Awards, the number of submissions went up significantly. Congratulations to all the winners. Season\u2019s greetings! May 2021 be a successful year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year, the awards were, once again, split into two main sections: Best BankTech Implementation; and Best FinTech Innovation. Within each section, there were 15 award categories.
